NISSAN NV350

M. Hussain Tarar

The Nissan NV350 is a widely used vehicle in Trinidad and Tobago, favored by both small and large business owners for transporting goods. This vehicle is available with both gasoline and diesel engines, and in manual and automatic transmissions. The primary difference between the two engine types lies in their capacity: the gasoline engine has a capacity of 2000 cc, while the diesel engine has a capacity of 2500 cc.

Due to its larger engine, the diesel variant is more suitable for transporting heavier loads. In contrast, the gasoline-powered NV350 offers benefits such as reduced noise and lower maintenance requirements. Spare parts for both engine types are readily available and affordable in Trinidad.

The Nissan NV350 comes in two grades: the GX Premium grade and the X grade. The DX grade, which is licensed for three passengers, includes a basic single air conditioning system. The GX grade, considered more luxurious, features dual air conditioning, additional conveniences such as push-button start, and a long rear seat that accommodates up to five passengers. This model can be used for both family purposes and cargo transport.

One of the main roll-on roll-off dealers for the Nissan NV350 in Trinidad is Pak Trading Co. Ltd., located at #118 Union Road, Marabella South, Trinidad. According to Trinidad and Tobago law, these vehicles can only be obtained through orders; roll-on roll-off and foreign used car dealers are not allowed to import and stock these vehicles from Japan for on-site sales.

In Trinidad, the NV350 is classified as a commercial vehicle. Therefore, only individuals with a registered business, farmer, or fisherman ID/barge are eligible to purchase this vehicle. The required documentation includes:
